This year, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the YBMen Project, we are honoring political figures, athletes, academics, and public intellectuals who have and continue to make a powerful impact on Black men’s and boys’ mental health and well-being.
Join the YBMen Project Founder, Daphne C. Watkins, and YBMen Project Teams from the United States, Australia, and Canada, as we gather in Ann Arbor, Michigan, October 9-11, 2024 to celebrate a decade of healing and hope for Black men and boys.

What is the YBMen Project?

Founded in 2014 at the University of Michigan, The YBMen Project uses culturally-sensitive, age-appropriate, and gender-specific programming to provide mental health education, expand definitions of manhood, and increase social support for young Black men. Our decade of commitment has improved the living, learning, and thriving of Black men and boys in the United States, Australia, and Canada.
